Hey hey, thanks for this post! Would love to get an overview of your BASB workflow and how you set up your remarkable, and what you do on it. eg, do you use it to just capture, or also store your notes, or do you then transfer? do you read on it? would be wonderful to know more. Thanks!
For the remarkable, it's every paper notebook I would have used. To take notes from conferences, to journal in the morning, to record my dreams, my goals, fillable pdfs that I want to fill by hand, anything I want to write down that is not reference based (this goes to my second brain). I will occasionally send a page from my notes to like a therapist or to a friend, but rarely do so. My notes stay in my Remarkable, but I pay for the connect subscription so that I have my notes on the phone and can transfer pdfs to it on the computer. I never read on my Remarkable, as it is not meant to be an e-reader. For that I use the Kindle Paperwhite
Okay that is wonderful, thank you so much for your detailed reply.
I like your distinction between reference-based and other notes. I was making my reference-based notes on Bear until this point but when I got the Remarkable I started to do everything on it. The thing is, it really helped me make on the go notes eg as I read, or during meetings, or say if I am making outlines to draft a paper or an essay or a presentation. Do you take reference-based notes as you read or do you do that on the RM and then further go on to transfer to another application for reference? and what is your reference-based notes application? And do you also correspond your PARA based folders to reflect the same subfolders on the RM and in your computer?
I have been using the reMarkable since the original Kickstarter campaign. Love it! I've just stumbled on BASB and would really like to get an idea of how you've set it up on the reMarkable.
That's an interesting idea for a post! I would say in very short that I use the PARA method (the follow-up book to BASB (you can read about it here : https://productivehappiness.substack.com/p/the-para-method-is-here-a-short-review) And I have simply setup the device with 4 main folders according to PARA. But I could go much deeper into that, thank you for the idea!

Thanks once again!
I am interested, did you already share more about your process ?
