I use Todoist for any daily activities or routines, and also a habit tracker in Notion. Let me know if you'd like me to share them in an upcoming newsletter!
I would. I get lost/overwhelmed if I have too many places to check out and I often have a hard time bringing it all together because my stimulant medication is losing if efficacy by the time I have an idea of what today looked like.
In that case you could draft a simple routine tracker, depending on what you currently use. Are you more a digital apps user or a paper lover? What is your current task manager?
I've got a mix of BuJo, Twos, and Roam. I also have commitments (tasks and appointments) coming at me from Outlook, Salesforce, Text Messages, and Gmail.
I've been asking myself those very questions. I have been bujoing for years and find even the minimal version I do very calming. But, I also use Roam because I can create checklist and SOP templates so I don't have to remember all of the micro steps in a process at work, and it can be very bujo-like. I've been using Twos app on my phone because it has the alarms and reminders that my notebook and Roam don't have, and it helps when away from my computer and notebook. Plus, I have my work inboxes (Outlook, Teams, & Salesforce) and personal inboxes (Discord, Text Messages, Gmail, and conversations).
The problem I seem to be running into is setting up routines that I can maintain and have in sight to make up for my ADHD-working memory issues so I can keep track of all of my things in my different places. Once I get them all on a routine, then I know I will be able to keep doing the maintenance.
But, when building those routines I get sucked into doing the tasks that I'm reviewing/capturing into whatever tool (Roam/BuJo/Twos) I am using. And, I'm inconsistent in my tool use because I forget where I put things so I end up with duplicates, missing pieces, and spending cognitive resources context switching.
I think I need to face the fact that Roam and Twos are too similar and I need to choose one, which will probably be Roam because I've been using it for so long and it plays well with Google Calendar which I use to keep appointments.
I've seen a couple of YouTube videos where people have created an admin flip out for stuff like this, which is where I probably need to land so I have a physical reminder of my processes.
Thanks for the compassionate questions. I think I may have gotten some answers that I needed.
How do you keep track of your routine? My ADHD gets in the way of keeping track of all of the components of my routine.

Must be overwhelming? is there a way you could combine and eliminate some of those?
