Bullet journal gift guide - For Bujo addicts
Someone on your list is a Bullet journal enthusiast? Here's your gift guide
Ah! December. That time of year when we have to rack our brains to find the perfect gift for our loved ones. If you have a Bullet journalist on your list, I’ve got you covered this year. I’ve asked the Bullet Journal community what they have on their wishlist and gathered this handy little Bullet Journal gift guide!
The perfect notebook
I have always been partial to the Leuchtturm1917 notebook, and for good reasons. First, they have a built-in index and numbered pages, which is a charm for Bullet journaling. Second, they have 2 ribbons that allow me to find my most used spreads super easily. And the blank cover allows me to personalize each notebook with handmade vinyl stickers. Here are a few of my latest notebooks :
Lately, I’ve seen more and more Bujo addicts leaning towards the Scribbles That Matter notebook. I have not yet tried them, but if you prefer cute covers, this might be the right choice for you
The Helix
The Helix Angle and Circle Maker is a funky little device called a protractor, a kind of circular ruler that you use to create perfect circles. Very useful to create the Level 10 Life tracker! Every Bullet journalist needs one.
A carrying case
I like to keep all my Bujo essentials in a passport case. It fits my pens, a ruler, my washi tape samples and cute page flags.
One of my favourite splurges for Bullet journaling has been this handy travelling case by Mochithings. It’s made to fit an iPad, but I find that it is perfect to hold my A5 notebook and fun little supplies.
Embellishments
Your Bullet Journal can be as minimalist or as artsy as you see fit. For the crafty girl, here are some of my favorite embellishments
Planner stamps
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I am crazy for the Sassy Club planner stamps. I have grown quite a collection! I use them to track the weather or to add a bit of whimsy to my journals.
Stickers
There is an endless selection of stickers available online either through Aliexpress, Amazon or Etsy stores, but my favorite bang for the buck is the Happy Planner sticker packs. You get hundreds, often thousands of stickers in a cute little booklet, for a very affordable price.
Stencils
Stencils are all the rage at the moment. They allow you to create beautiful spreads without the need for creative abilities. You can find huge packs on Amazon for a ridiculous price. I like these metal ones.
Washi tape
Ah! Washi… Bullet journaling has quickly turned us into washi hoarders. But don’t worry, you can never have too much washi! Aliexpress and Amazon are great places to find wonderful washi tape for a great price.
Pens galore
I’ve asked the Bullet Journal community what their favorite pens are and they are plenty!
Staedtlers fineliners
These are an absolute favorite! The Triplus Fineliners are great pens for Bullet journaling as they do not bleed through and ghost only minimally.
Tombow dual brush pens
The Tombows are iconic brush pens that allow a line variation when lettering. One end is a brush tip, and the other end is a fine-tip marker. They released new colors recently and I’ve got my eyes on this Galaxy themed pack, just in time for the new Star Wars!
Mildliners
The Mildliners highlighters are all the rage! They are mildly colored highlighters and they offer a quite rare grey highlighter that has every Bujo addict swooning! Offered in 3 different colour packs.
Fountain pens
Fountain pens are quickly becoming very popular in the Bullet Journal community. If you want to start with an inexpensive one and be sure of the quality, choose a Pilot Metropolitan. For 15$, it is impossible to beat the quality and reliability of this crowd favourite.
Fountain pen inks
Inks are a fun way to spruce up layouts in your Bullet Journal. I love the Diamine ink selection as it is affordable and very colorful. Plus, the bottle is super cute!
The big gift
If you feel super generous, the HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer is a great gift for your Bujo addict! It is a pocket printer that allows you to print pictures directly from your phone. You can decorate your spreads with your favourite pics!
And of course, you’ll need something to store all those Bujo goodies! The Raskog rolling cart is my item of choice to store my essentials. It doesn’t take much space and has a place of choice next to my couch! You can get super creative filling it up with your supplies. Here’s what mine looks like :
There you have it! I hope you have lots of ideas of cool gifts you can offer to your favorite Bullet journalist!
Let me know, what’s on your wishlist this Christmas?
