How’s 2024 starting out for you?
Mine started rocky to say the least! But new years mean we can experiment and set new and exciting goals to propel us further to our dreams and vision. It’s a blank slate!
In today’s post, I’d like to share a fun way you can set goals for the year that just started, the 24 for 2024 list.
24 goals to achieve in 2024
I came across this fun goal-setting advice in Gretchen Rubin’s podcast Happier.
Every year, Gretchen and her sister create a list of goals to achieve during the year, but there’s a twist. They should be fun and exciting! They can be small, whimsical and inspiring. Forget the classic lose ten pounds or drink more water here, aim for stuff that you’d actually enjoy achieving!
On a blank piece of lined paper, write down numbers from 1 to 24 on one side and brainstorm all the fun stuff you’d like to do this year.
Top of my list, I’d like to try one of Montreal’s most famous restaurant for my wedding anniversary, a place called Joe Beef. I’d also like to pass my driver’s licence after 20 years of not driving!
You can also set a numerical goal, for example, last year I wanted to read 23 books out of my TBR. (I failed at that lol!)
This year I’m aiming to visit my local park 24 times. (It’s my favourite place in the world!)
You can also set habits, such as going for a 24-minute walk at lunch, writing in your journal for 24 minutes, or reading 24 pages a day. It can be anything you’d like!
If you’d like to get inspired for your list, you can listen to Gretchen reveal her list in this episode of Happier!
What goal would you put on your 24 for 2024 list? Let me know in the comments below!
Did they mention anything about the “write 24”? I wasn’t sure if what that was about.
I just came across this in her newsletter. It’s a lovely idea! Here’s here PDF in case you’re interested: https://gretchenrubin.com/resource/24-for-2024-list/
